Funding for the museum is provided through grants, donations, and for those especially passionate, memberships.
Current fundraising projects for the museum include our oral history project to ensure that roller skating's contributors are remembered and documented. As well as our basement renovation project which will allow us to keep our artifacts safe and secure.
Funding for the museum was provided by Humanities Nebraska and the National Endowment for the Humanities as part of of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
The work we do to discover, preserve, and share the history and future of Roller Skating wouldn't be possible without the support of National Museum of Roller Skating members. A NMRS member takes their passion for roller skating and community farther than most by taking action and directly supporting the world's largest home for roller skating history.
