National Museum of Roller Skating participates in Give to Lincoln.

The National Museum of Roller Skating is participating in the annual Give to Lincoln fundraising event hosted by the Lincoln Community Foundation. From May 1 to May 28, every gift to the Museum is amplified by a $650,000 match fund coordinated by Lincoln Community Foundation and other generous sponsors (including the Presenting Sponsor, West Gate Bank).  This means that any gift to the NMRS gets an extra boost.

With your help, these funds will go towards: Digitization ensures collections are accessible online.Education: fostering lifelong learning with the museum.Exhibit Updates: supports for updates to existing exhibits and the creation of new ones.

Online -- Preferred method only gift method eligible for Daily DrawingsDonations to participating charities are made online and will be updated in real time on the leaderboard at www.givetolincoln.com on May 28. Online donations may be made beginning May 1. Gifts made between May 1 and May 28 will count toward the event, show on the leaderboard when it appears on May 28, and be eligible for the challenge match fund. The minimum donation amount is $10.

Gifts must be postmarked by May 21 to count toward the event, show on the leaderboard, and be eligible for the challenge match fund. Donors may also drop off donations between May 1 and May 28 at the Presenting Sponsor, West Gate Bank, at any of its Lincoln branches via the lobby or the commercial drop drawers. 

 

Individual Retirement Account – Qualified Charitable Distribution GiftsDonors who are 70½ or older may make qualified charitable distributions from their Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) to charities participating in Give to Lincoln Day. There is a minimum gift of $100 per nonprofit. For more information on this giving method, click here IRA owners must complete the IRA Give to Lincoln Day Distributions Form found on the Toolkit page and submit it to the Lincoln Community Foundation by May 15, either by mail or by email to rhondap@lcf.org. The IRA owner must also contact their IRA administrator and initiate the gift to the Lincoln Community Foundation. For the gift to count toward Give to Lincoln Day, LCF must receive the distribution before May 28. Please allow several weeks for processing by the IRA administrator.

 

Lincoln Community Foundation Donor Advised FundThose who have a donor-advised fund administered by Lincoln Community Foundation may recommend grants from their fund to participating nonprofits (no fee is assessed on donor-advised fund grants). When using a donor-advised fund, there is a minimum grant of $100 per nonprofit. Grant recommendations can be submitted through the Portal Login at www.lcf.org, and are encouraged to be made before May 22.
